With the summer break upon us, many students will be returning home and their parents may be noticing changes in their behaviors. The trained clinical and admissions staff at Coastline works with families to better understand when a person is dangerously teetering on the edge of ‘college life partying’ to dependence or addiction, or if they are using substances as a crutch to mask underlying mental health issues such as anxiety, depression or trauma. Education materials are provided on the company’s website that include signs and symptoms of substance abuse, the four stages and addiction, and resources for co-occurring disorders and mental health.
